Cheese Blintz

This classic Jewish treat has been around Zingerman’s Deli since they first opened back in 1982. We make them just like bubbe would—except we use ingredients roughly nineteen times more flavorful. I’ve been in love with blintzes since I worked at Zingerman’s Deli in the '90s, so to me the fact that we're now shipping them for the first time is a very big (and very delicious) deal!

For the uninitiated, blintzes are Jewish crepes folded around a sweetened creamy cheese filling. At Zingerman's Deli, we stuff ours with Zingerman's farm cheese, plenty of real vanilla, and a big dose of chestnut honey. The blintz looks like a precious little tawny pillow. It tastes light, fresh, delicate yet rich in a cream-cheese-way, all at once.

We like to eat them heated and paired with preserves and, for the true dairy devotees, sour cream. They're great for just about any meal—I especially love one for breakfast.
