J Patrice Tarbouche Chocolate Coated Marshmallow Candies

J Patrice Tarbouche Chocolate Coated Marshmallow Candies

Marshmallow treats, perfected.

These chocolate covered marshmallow candies are known by many names around the globe: in the US, they're commonly known as Mallomars; in Denmark they're called flødeboller; in Scotland, they're Tunnock's teacakes. In Lebanon, where chocolatier Jamie LeBoeuf honed her chocolate making skills before setting up shop in Michigan, they’re called Tarbouche, which means “fez,” the historic cylindrical hat from Turkey—which happens to be the same shape as the confection. Whatever name you use, we can all call it delicious.

Jamie and her team fill thin, crunchy chocolate shells with impossibly fluffy marshmallow atop a thin, crunchy cookie. But the real star of the show is the variety of spectacular flavors that sit atop the marshmallow and beautifully balance the sweetness and command your attention. Each box contains 12 pieces: three each of Apricot, Caramel, Pistachio Baklawa, and Espresso. A box of chocolates par excellence.
