Monica Sunny has been drinking chai as part of her family’s daily ritual since she was a toddler. She started her company, The Chai Box, to share that comforting tradition.
Drawing from her mother’s recipes, this masala chai concentrate is made from black tea brewed in small batches with ethically grown spices from India. Cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, cloves and ginger carry a spicy warmth balanced by sweet caramel notes from turbinado sugar. Compared to other chai concentrates, I find this one brighter, with an excellent balance of spice and a brown sugar sweetness.
Make it a part of your morning, afternoon or evening by mixing it with the milk of your choice and serving it warm or cold. Each bottle includes enough concentrate to make four heartwarming cups.
