Latkes with Sour Cream and Applesauce

Zingerman’s latkes are handmade and already cooked, but you’ll want to reheat them for maximum deliciousness. Depending on the size of your kitchen and the amount of countertop appliances at your disposal, this can be a fun and fast exercise.

STORAGE
Store in the freezer for up to 6 months or in the fridge for 7 days.
SERVING
If your latkes are frozen, thaw them in the fridge for 24 hours. When defrosted, remove them from the package and pat dry with paper towels. Then get cooking!

Stovetop

1. On the stove, heat a nonstick saute pan over medium-high heat. No oil needed.
2. Add defrosted latke to the hot pan and cover with a lid.
3. Cook for 5 minutes.
4. Turn heat to medium-low, flip over latke, cover with a lid.
5. Cook for 3-5 more minutes.
6. Turn the heat off. Remove lid and flip once more.
7. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then serve!
8. Serve with sides of applesauce and sour cream.

Air Fryer

1. Heat Air Fryer to 350º.
2. Place a single layer of defrosted latke(s) in the basket and spray with oil.
3. Heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Remove and carefully flip latke(s) over in the basket using tongs or spatula.
5. Return to Air Fryer for 2-3 minutes or until crisp.
6. Remove from Air Fryer and carefully place hot latke(s) on a plate lined with paper towels
   to absorb any excess oil.
7. Serve with sides of applesauce and sour cream.

Oven

1. Heat oven to 350º.
2. Place a single layer of defrosted latke(s) on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or foil.
3. Brush latke(s) with olive oil on both sides.
4. Heat in the oven for 10 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and carefully flip latke(s) over using tongs or a spatula.
6. Return to the oven for 10 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and carefully place hot latke(s) on a plate lined with paper towels to
   absorb any excess oil.
8. Serve with sides of applesauce and sour cream.
