Wild Blueberry Jam

We camped a lot when I was a kid. One of my favorite things to do out in the wilderness was to gather wild blueberries. The bushes were small, topping out just above my ten-year-old knees, and the berries were tiny, intense, the sweetest I’d ever tasted. I’d eat three for every one I saved. The ones I did manage to keep for later would wind up in pancakes in the morning. All that nostalgia washed over me the moment I tasted this wild blueberry jam from the cold, craggy landscape of Newfoundland, Canada.

There’s magic in wild blueberries—far more than in the cultivated varieties. It’s a different level of sweetness you won’t find anywhere else. Preserved in a jam, the result is super fresh, a touch floral, and most of all intensely blueberry flavored.

This jam comes to us from the heart of wild blueberry country in Newfoundland, Canada. And just to top it off, it's made by a company called Dark Tickle, which is totally a thing (a narrow salt water channel overshadowed by hills, to be exact).
