Poppy Caramel & White Cheddar Popcorn

The combination of caramel popcorn mixed with cheese popcorn is found in many places and called many names. This one comes from Poppy in Asheville, North Carolina. They call it the “Asheville Mix.” At the risk of upsetting all of Chicago and anyone else who claims ownership of this sweet & savory combination, I’m ready to declare the Asheville Mix the best I’ve tried. Their salted caramel coats the popcorn like a second skin and the white cheddar popcorn has a rich cheddar flavor I’ve rarely come across.
